What I’ve Been Watching Lately

I have zero idea where the past two days have went.

The last time I was here, it was Tuesday and I told you guys about how my friends and I have been working in our society’s library, and then left to go shopping with my Mom.

By the way – thank you guys so much for all the love on my library post! I was honestly not expecting a single like on it because these kind of rants I do usually aren’t that popular, which is totally fine. But I got SO MANY likes and views on that post, which was an awesome surprise ❤ ❤

Anyway, on Wednesday, I’d woken up at 5 to continue work at the library, came home to eat breakfast at around 9:30am, then went back. After the library work was done for the day at around 12:00pm, we of course had to play cards, and I came home at 2:30 after that. I was so freaking exhausted, but I couldn’t afford to take even a 10-minute nap. I had to have lunch and then get ready for a surprise party for one of my best friends at 4pm. Came home from that at 8:30pm, changed as fast as I could, and went down to play football. Came home at 10:30pm, took a shower because I was the epitome of disgusting then left for my best friend’s birthday sleepover.

Yesterday morning we woke up at around 10:30am, had breakfast and came home at 12pm. Then I immediately took a shower and left to meet another friend of mine, since we had planned to make a combined birthday card for our other friend. This is the same friend whose sleepover we went to, by the way. She had a sleepover for her close friends on the 9th, a party for all her friends on 10th (yesterday), and her actual birthday is today but she’s out of town 😭😭. Anyway, we finished the card at around 2:30pm, after which I came home, practically inhaled lunch, and again left to play cards at 3:00pm. Came home at 5:10pm and got ready for the party at 5:30pm. Came home from the party at 8:45pm and got changed again and went down to play. Came home at 10:30pm and collapsed on my bed.

I don’t even know when the days changed from Tuesday to Friday this week, and honestly that’s the story of my life these day. I mean, it’s May. There are barely three months left for my birthday.

Anyway, I will be catching up on posts either today or in the following days, because I’m actually really looking forward to spending some more time at home, when I can catch up on posts, reading, bookstagram pictures, keyboard, and just chilling. Of course even when I’m out all day I’m having a blast – I am with my best friends after all – but it gets tiring. My two favourite sisters actually went out of town for a week today 😣, and we’re all counting the days till they’re back. But that also means we probably won’t be together every second of every day now, which is disappointing but a relief at the same time, as I explained above.

More time at home means more time to watch lots of movies and TV shows, since that is of course a big part of what I do in my free time. Today I’m gonna talk you guys through all the shows and movies I’ve been loving lately.

1. Deception

The same friend who I made the card with told me about this show, and after she made me and those two sisters I mentioned above (aka my soul sisters) watch the first episode with her, we knew this show was going to take over her life. HOLY C R A P. This show. I can’t even. I CAN’T. Every Monday they release the newest episode on Prime Video, and it’s kind of an unspoken agreement among us that whoever sees it first has to call everyone else and tell them, like ‘HI DECEPTION NEW EPISODE AHDBEJFJCOJCOWMOIENCIENIR *screams* *dies*’. Then we decide whose house to meet at and we watch it together. This is a crime show with an epicly epic magicion/illusionist who teams up with the FBI to solve cases and oh my go oh my god oh my god. Deception is kind of famous for being that kind of show that surprises you every time. I don’t think we’ve ever watched an episode where we weren’t clawing at the screen for more at the ending. The endings are amazing. Also, please tell me I’m not the only one who says the intro out loud with Cameron every time: “I’m Cameron Black. I was the world’s greatest illusionist. Now I’ve teamed up with the FBI to help them solve the kind of cases only a master of deception can crack”.

2. Avengers Infinity War

First things first – I watched the movie on release day.

Then I watched it last Tuesday for the second time with my parents because Mom wanted to watch it, and I blackmailed my Dad into coming.

Didn’t want you guys to make any ridiculous assumptions that I watched the movie any later than the first day. Pfft, that’s crazy talk! I had 27th April 2018 circled on my calendar since I watched Civil War.

Anyway, I had decided that I would do a discussion type post for this movie as soon as I walked out of the theatre because I just had SO MANY FEELINGS and SO MUCH TO SAY about it. I even started the post, I still have the draft saved. But I quickly realised that when it comes to my fandoms, especially Marvel, most of my thoughts are incoherent and involve a lot of frenzied screaming and death by awe. That’s kind of the theme in this post. That post was so difficult to write because I can’t put those kind of emotions into words, and especially for Infinity War. It was just unparalleled.

Marvel did it again.

Also, I love the posters. All of them. And the fact that Tony is so freaking epic in the main one (above) ^.

3. Riverdale

I don’t need to explain my obsession with this show, because I’ve already done it in a separate post! I’m actually posting this so late because I took a break in between to watch the latest episode, and all I have to say is this: in the trailer for the season finale, that had better be Fangs’ grave. Because I know for a fact that I’m not alone when I say that if Jughead is dead, I will stop watching this show. The last scene, his mutilated face, it felt like somebody was jamming a hot poker through me.

Jughead. Is not. Dead.

4. Bride Wars

I watched this movie YEARS ago, and when I saw that it was in Prime, I was so excited! Movies like Bride Wars never get old. Anne Hathaway is actually the first actress I ever remember admiring. And for some reason the only memory I had of Bride Wars until I rewatched it was the blue hair dye 😛. Classic!

‘You don’t alter Vera to fit you, you alter yourself to fit Vera’

I had a bunch more, but it’s late, I’m tired, it paves the way for a part 2, and we’re already past 1300 words.

So goodnight! Let me know what you guys have been watching recently 🙂
